The Mediterranean Mouflon was reintroduced in France about 50 years ago, and the first individuals, from the Cadarache, Bauges or Chambord Reserve, quickly colonized their new habitats throughout the South of France. After years of management, the success is such that it is now present in many mountainous territories. Even if the appearance and expansion of the Wolf has reduced its populations in the Alps and the Massif Central, its development continues elsewhere.

Julien discovered this hunt in 2005 and has hunted this species in many territories. Today, we have two large sectors in the Pyrenees with a hunting plan of around 40 animals.

Hunting is practiced from October to February. You can hunt from 500 meters up to an altitude of 2500 meters where you find a very beautiful population and good trophies.

Hunting is possible every day, and we recommend 3 days on site to optimize the chances of success on this particularly wary game.

A hunt that is worth it in magnificent landscapes.

Mouflon hunting is one of the most difficult due to the distrust of these animals which can detect human presence from a great distance.

​It will take all the knowledge of the guide and his sense of observation to succeed in the approach. The shots can vary from 100 to 250 meters, or more. It is therefore preferable to equip yourself with a tight caliber weapon equipped with a high magnification scope. The hunter will be able to move on magnificent and wild territories where only the observation of these animals in their environment will be able to satisfy his expectations.
